March 26, 2012 at 11:39 pmThe official power draw under load for the 580 GTX 3GB is 244W, but some of the overclocked versions are even higher. I have the EVGA version.

March 29, 2012 at 12:25 amThe Fermi cards ran the CUDA Cores at double core clock speed, the new Kepler cards use more cores but they run at regular clock speed. (ie, not doubled)

March 29, 2012 at 7:51 pmCurrently, the GTX680 has wretched Compute performance.
Whether this is due to immature drivers, the lowered SM count, the half speed Shaders or the phase of the moon is unknown.

We can just hope that the drivers mature and/or they release the GK110 which will mop the floor with current cards.
I will settle for OSX drivers for GTX680 for now. RIght now it is dead to the world in every iteration of OSX I have tried.

May 8, 2012 at 2:24 pmI don’t think civilization 5 it’s a parameter to take to evaluate 680 card with davinci
And for other way i don’t think that nvidia guys are so stupid to make a next generation card worst than before generation
The only answer it’s wait to davinci engeneers optimize the program for this card, and i presume windows version of davinci it’s better than mac
