I’ve got a Mac Pro 3,1 with 8 cores and NVIDIA 8800 GT card. Haven’t even done Snow update as it’s a workhorse and in use all the time during the summer (I live in a resort area) but wondered if anyone w/ similar configuration has installed yet?

Yes, it does. Go ahead and upgrade to Snow Leopard.

Cool! I’m working on a couple of projects right now and don’t wanna upgrade / wipe the HD and all that until I’m done with em but that’s good to know! My MBP is tittaly outta the question since it’s one of the first intel machines and not even 64 bit. I have wiped and installed SL on that machine thinking I could install FCPX on it to start learning it but that option is now out! Darn it!

[Paulo Barcellos] “Yes, it does. Go ahead and upgrade to Snow Leopard.”

“Yes it does” ? What? “Yes it does work with Snow Leopard” or “Yes it does work with FCPX”????

Thanks for the clarification. Do you know if it will work with a 8600M GT in a MacBookPro?

I think the apple website said that one, specifically, does not work. I read it on an apple link from earlier post on here. Mine wasn’t listed as incompatible so that’s why I asked.
