i have a bunch of layers tied to a null object and i want to do an effect so that all the layers can let’s say fly in together. i throw the effect on the null but nothing happens. what am i doing wrong?

thanks for the reply. so what is the best way to group a whole bunch of layers and have the same effect and timing on each without having to drop the effx on each layer. i didn’t realize the null won’t allow for effects but only rotation, etc.

Depending on the effects you’re trying to apply, you could do your spatial animation in one composition. Then nest that composition inside another one and apply the effects to that instance of the ‘pre-comp.’
