  • Nudge multiple video tracks down to V1 (‘collapse’ to lowest empty video track)

Posted by Trevor Asquerthian on September 4, 2014 at 11:13 am

I have a bunch of small clips (consolidated media from a previous edit) that have time of day timecode.

They are arranged on a timeline, each on a separate video track, aligned to the sequence timecode.

I want to ‘collapse’ those tracks down to as few tracks as possible

If I select them all and ‘nudge down’ (alt+ down arrow) I get an error message ‘media limit on V1’ as PP is trying to move the clips on V1 down to a non-existent track…

    Any workarounds to this?

    THanks

Select them all and nest them. This would give you one clip to put on whatever track you like and still give you a way to get back to your original layout if you need to shift one around with out actually cutting the nest.
