NTSC to PAL problem
Hi. I got some NTSC footage on VHS and I need to make DVD from it and convert it to PAL. The problem is, I don’t know how to capture it. I tried to play it on VHS deck and record on my Sony HVR-M10E deck on mini DV tape but all I got is black video which I can’t capture. Could it be that deck cannot play NTSC? Since I’m in Europe, I don’t have any expirience with NTSC…

As far as I know, that deck won’t support a standards conversion so you need to have a conversion made for you or get a box (like an ADVC-100) that will allow you to capture the tape as NTSC, and then use compressor to convert it to PAL.
