  • NTSC on Source output, PAL on Sequence output?

I have a Multibridge Pro installed in Macpro, running OsX10.8.1, running latest Premiere Pro version. A JVC 24″ monitor is hooked up using the SDI output from the Multibridge Pro.

My problem: I created a PAL sequence (720×576 25i) and generated color bars in Premiere. All PAL. When I play the colorbars in the source monitor, they come out as NTSC on the JVC monitor. When I play the same colorbars from the sequence they are PAL as they are supposed to be. If I have the colorbars both in the source and sequence, then clicking on source/sequence will switch the JVC monitor to NTSC/PAL and back.

Is this a Premiere bug or a Blackmagic bug?

    Thanks,

    Dirk

Problem found: in the player settngs where you chose Adobe…Blackmagic etc, you have a button ‘Setup’. If this button is set to ‘Follow Sequence’, it will put the source player in NTSC mode regardless of what your sequence is set to. If you always work in the same format then it would be wise to set this option to the working format. In my case we change formats several times during the day.
