I’m not familiar with working with the different frame rates in NTSC. I have clips shot in 23.98fps & 29.97fps. What sequence frame rate should I use to ingest both please?

    Cams: Z1, EX3, HDX900.

You need to ingest both in the frame rate in which they were shot. You cannot do otherwise, even with a capture card. But then, if you want to mix the formats and have it look good, you need to convert all the footage of one frame rate to the other frame rate. Compressor will do this.

So now you need to settle on which frame rate you want your master to be in.
