NTFS format with 10.3.8??

If you need compatibility with PC’s, put MacDrive on one of your PC’s.

June 20, 2005 at 10:12 pm“Someone” gave you bad advice. OS X 10.3.x can read but not write to NTFS-formatted volumes.
If you’re using the drive with a Mac and Mac apps, format HFS+ journaled, as with any Mac drive.
If you have a Windows box you have to share the drive with, use MacDrive on it, as suggested earlier.—

June 20, 2005 at 10:23 pmJournalling is only recommended for system (OS boot drive) drives. Media drives for FCP SHOULD NOT be journaled.
