    Hi there,
I am new to all the FCP/MAC/Blacmagic thing so here is question :
we have a 2.7 mac with tiger and 2.5 gb ram, FCP 5.We have a stripe with 600 GB space and Blackmagic HD plus card.I had captured 40min of dv material through SDI and on a 10 bit blackmagic uncompressed setting.I had placed the clip into a timeline in fcp and there is red line above the clip that says need render. On a canvas window it says unredered or something like that.I have had gone through all the Audio/Video setting s frm FCP, tried easy setups, pushed the RT button on a timeline numerous times and tried all the combinations from the buttons there. So question is is this normal ? Shouldn`t there be a green line or a blue one instead? And to see what I am doing in canvas window without rendering ?Thanks in advance and for your humble answers I am waiting.
    Sincerely yours
    Kicki

FCP always starts a project with one sequence. It makes that sequence based on the last settings you had when you start a new project. Chances are that sequence is DV or something. Delete it, go to A/V settings, set it to Blackmagic 10bit NTSC, and start a new sequence (Apple + N)
