    Hi –

I am noticing that when I edit to tape, I am getting a ‘hit’ at the in point of the edit. It seems that for 1 frame everything is shifted down one pixel and then pops back up into position. The audio seems fine. It’s hard to see when replaceing a whole edit, from on scene to another, but if you are on something stationary and it insert there it pops. Any ideas? I have tried both Mastering and Edit settings in the Edit to tape video with the same results.

    Thanks.

further testing shows that the out point is fine.
The easiest way to see this is to take a text slate, edit it to tape, then edit only the second half onto it. The picture drops one pixel at the edit point and then moves back into the correct position in the next frame. Odd.

    Is the referencing alright?

FWIW I always insert the whole shot because I’ve never trusted insert edits in the middle of a shot.

    Probably no help,

    Lex

I messed around with the device control setting ‘playback offset’
Changing it helps avoid this. There’s more to figure out, but I am sort of getting clean edits to work.
