I was working on a DVD, and when I was about half done I burned it successfully.

Then I added some more files (mpg2 made with my RTX100–same as the earlier files) and also added some motion menus.

Now when I try to create a DVD, I get this error message:
File is not valid mpeg -20402

Is there any way to tell which file is causing the problem? Is it likely the motion menu is causing the problem?

    Hi,
I’m having the same problem and confused by the apparently inconsistencies in what will burn and what won’t. Have you found any solutions since you wrote? I’ve tried using ProCoder to output compliant MPEGs with the following but this isn’t working either:

    MPEG2
    program stream
    m2p
    720×480
    29.97
    16:9
    GOP 36field/18frames max
    GOP auto
    Strict GOP
    Scene detect enabled
    Audio PCM
    224kbps
    48KHz
    16 bits
    stereo
    MP@ML
    CBR 8000

It’s been a while since this happened, but if I remember correctly, the avi in my project had something wrong with it. I recaptured the avi and then I got a good mpg from it.
