In my project, a book is supposed to float down on screen, open, and then go through the pages. I’ve made the front and back pieces of the book and parented them to a null object.

I’ve got my keyframes set up for the first part of the animation that I’m working on, but when I try to preview it, I’m just shown an image of one of my pre-compositions (pre-comp 3). Can anyone tell me why this is? I tried to render out an AVI so I could see what was going on, but in the movie all of my elements just stayed there, I saw no evidence of my position tween – ugh!

This is making me batty – I’ve taken two screenshots:

In the lower left of the Comp window is a tiny button that sets the preview to that view. My guess is you clicked it in Comp 3.

Click it for your master comp.

Spot on analysis, Brian! That fixed it, thank you.

Much thanks to you as well, Dave. It was getting pretty cluttered in my timeline – all tidy now.
