Not enough RAM when opening files in PS6
Hello,
I create .psd-files with PS CS1 and/or CS2 and save them using the “maximize PSD file Compatibility” option. Trying to open these files on a PIII 1GHz 256MB RAM PC running PS6 results in a “not enough ram”-message. The filesize does not matter though, even 30kB-PSD-files will not open at all. Any files created on the PC with PS6 will open nicely, even with filesizes exceeding 70MB. Trying to enlarge the maximum memory usage for PS6 does not help (currently set to 70%). The workvolume of PS6 is not the same drive as the windows-volume and has plenty of GBytes free space.
Any suggestions to open the PSDs in PS6 besides updating the software?
Thanks, Arne
