not enough memory error when importing photos

I was having the same issue and noticed that the images giving me problems were CMYK. Switched them to RGB and everything worked a lot happier.

Mine was also having difficulty importing one of the images out of a bunch. When I found the culprit image (a jpeg) i changed the color mode from cmyk to rgb and re-saved it. I don’t know why but that did the trick.
