Not a Merge problem, even weirder….
Let’s try this again! Ok, I am having a problem I have never run into before. I have a project, I put a clip on the timeline, looks great, it’s definitely the clip I want, I save it, and when I reload the project, it’s some other clip FROM ANOTHER file in my project media in the same exact place!! What is THAT? Have you ever heard of this? IS THIS PROJECT CORRUPTION? Arrghhhh!

Whew, fixed it but this was not easy. I had to force Vegas to find the correct file by renaming the incorrect one…alright…messages to myself…………..

Another option would be to right-click the “incorrect” file in the Project Media, choose “Replace”, and pick the correct file. Not sure why the file was being confused, though.
