not a batch timeline export capability, is there?
I was trying to remember if there was a batch export function, but probably not. Is there some kind of workaround? possibly by writing an applescript?

What do you want to export? There is a “batch export all clips from bin” script included, and of course it can be modified to export e.g. all bins or timelines.
