Anyone know if there is an audio filter for Final Cut Pro that allows audio normalization? I have a long timeline full of clips from several different interviews, all with different levels. It would be amazing if there were a function by which they could all be normalized relative to one another, before one makes any clip-by-clip changes…

BIAS PEAK express ships with FCP.

Highlight the clips you want to normalize (all in your case), then export it as aiff.
Within Peak express, open the file you created. DSP>normalize. It then gives you an option of percentage
of normalize. I usually use 80 or 90% depending on the footage.

Let me know if this helps you.
It’s saved me a few times.

Here’s an easier way. Install Peak Express. Setup FCP in the System Settings – External Editors – Video Files. Set that to Peak Express. Now, when you right click on a clip in the time line, you’ll select eOpen in Editor. It will open Peak Express and you be able to normalize very easily. Then when you save the file just click save , not save as. Go back into Final Cut Pro and your track will redraw with the new audio.
