So one shot in my Red project is blown out. I actually accused the director of having accidentally overexposed it, but when I looked in Red Cine X it looked normal. It’s literally just one shot out of several in this scene (including other takes after the camera stopped). Resolve still sees it this way in the Media page. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

The director says no. I’m going to have him send me a copy of the r3d to see if maybe the one I have is corrupt.

Are you adjusting the raw settings in some way? You should be able to get back the highlights by adjust the raw.

If you have enabled “use RMD file” disable it. Using the RMD brings in any curve corrections that were applied in Redcine X but doesn’t allow you to adjust or delete them. Try using only camera metadata instead.

I didn’t see anything about using the RMD file. I think I may have fixed it–I took the clip into Red Cine X and exported it as an ‘R3D Trim.’ Do you know if there’s a disadvantage to doing that? Loss in resolution, anything like that?

    Thanks!
