Nooby question. Where is the hue stopwatch?

Taking a step back here:

Since you said that you’re new, I figured that you wouldn’t mind if I went back to basics.

Each layer has properties. Most properties have stopwatches, which means that you can animate them. You add additional properties to a layer in a few ways, including by applying effects. To add a hue property to a layer, you can add the Hue/Saturation effect.

I’m not really new. It was just a nooby question.
The hue control in the Hue/Saturation effect has no way to animate it because it doesn’t have a stopwatch thingy. What is the normal workaround? I forgot.

Check the colorize checkmark and there are individuals controls for Hue,saturation and lightness.

Probably the best solution for key-framing hue (and other color properties) will be through the SA Color Finesse plug-in. It’s included in the plug-in package for CS3 and CS4.

There are a couple of posts in the Synthetic Aperture forum on the Cow regarding removing the water mark. There should be a separate serial sticker for SA Color Finesse on the box your AE came in. If it’s not there (apparently some boxes went out without the extra sticker), you can get it by contacting Adobe.
