Noob trying to duplicate some motion graphics effects
Hello all! I’m kind of new to the motion graphics field. So, hopefully I’m posting in the right place. I’m not a total noob in AE but I’m at that point were I’m starting to learn some techniques. I’m curious to how these effects were created so I’m wanting to duplicate them for learning purposes. First one’s from this video: https://youtube.com/watch?v=fGNvRcS9A7w&feature=related.First of all, how would I go about duplicating the arrow effect? Right around the 43 second mark the arrow animates by making several turns.
Second effect I’m curious about are the pointers in the background and the animated circles in the following video (right around the 5 or 6 second mark). https://youtube.com/watch?v=mucmb9bRv28&feature=related.’m sure you can duplicate the pointers and randomly animated them but they’re constantly moving across the screen.
If I should be posting this question anywhere else please let me know. Otherwise any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Animating the arrow in the first vid wouldn’t be too difficult. Just have a look at Aharon’s podcast on AE’s 3D capabilities. The link to the second video doesn’t work for me.
