Hello there, im new to 3d modeling and even the fact that i have been able to do all i wanted to do so far, i have a question…

Im working on a 3d model for my city’s shield, and as you can see in the following picture, the bump channel for the gold-like base is showing ok EXCEPT on the filleted borders created with the extrude nurbs modifier….

(you might have to click on the image to see it full-size in order to see what im talking about )
How can i make the bump channel to show on the extruded sides even if there are filleted caps ? is that possible ?

    Thanks in advance, Diego.

    Cheers.
    Diego Massanti.

In the Texture Tag (Attributes Manager) change the Projection to “Cubic”..
    (does that make any difference…?)

I know this problem well. The instant fix is to change the texture mapping from the default UVW method to something else, possibly cubic, see what works best. I use NURBS a lot, especially on all the furniture we model for our architectural renderings/animations. It would be great if C4D could handle these better or with an alternative method of generating UVW coordinates.
