noob question: motion blur only for a few seconds
Hi everybody!
I just want a motion blur effect on the first 10seconds of my animation. Is there any fast way to implement that? Because if i make a “scene motion blur” it renders the effect in the whole animation, and i don+t know how to change a “motion blur” tag value during the very same animation..

Couldn’t you render out the motion blur separately (motion vector effect with a multi-pass motion vector render) and just turn it on and off in After Effects?

i have also imagined making two separated clips, one with motion blur and another without, and then mix them in a video editing app – but your suggestion is much better because it only will be requided one clip.i was kinda hopping that cinema would have some kind of option to control that effect during the animation. i think it doesn’t make much sense to apply one effect like this and have to stuck with it the entire time in all the moving elements, and then having to depend on third party post process video editing to make the job done.

I’ll bet you can probably animate the motion vector settings within Cinema 4D’s Advanced Render module – if you don’t want to worry about a 3rd Party plugin (ReelSmart Motion Blur in AE) you might look into that.
