Non transparent image showing text through it
Posted by Lawrence Eaton on March 24, 2016 at 6:42 pmI’m trying to put together a simple animation with an image and some text rotating around it. My problem is that the text is showing through the PSD image of the blue clouds. Opacity is 100% on the image .
Anyone, please?

March 25, 2016 at 2:52 pmThat’s because the image is a 2D object and the text 3D. 3D text exists in it’s own space. For them to obstruct each other, they BOTH have to be EITHER OR, not mixed. And the only thing that can currently be 3D is TEXT (i.e. anything that’s a FONT).

I took the text back to 2D and everything snapped into place as expected. Would be nice if 3D text would also do this, though. Maybe in the next release??

March 27, 2016 at 3:59 pmThe alternative of course being, that you do it the other way around. 😉 Change the graphic into a 3D object. Make an SVG version of it, go to glyphter.com (which actually already has a cloud like that in its standard glyphs) and make a font out of it…
