Non-Drop to Drop Frame

The absolute easiest way to do this is….

Create a 59.94 Drop Frame timeline.

Lay a slug in that timeline that runs the proper show running time.

Copy that Slug into its own video track in your 23.98 timeline.

There you go. The length of that slug is the length of your show in non-drop.

Ridiculously simple, but even I didn’t think of that one, someone else gave me the idea and it does work.

Oh cool, didn’t even know it was there. see, we learn something new every day.

I remember when 59.94 had all NDF and I had to use that DF trick with the Slug all the time.

Yeah, that was a feature request I made to them because a LOT of us need that feature.

Unfortunately it makes people think that a 23.98 DF timeline is possible. Or they overlook that and go right for the 29.97 timing. Their release notes, as always, never get read.
