  non-Certified source decks for PPro

  Has anyone successfully used the Pioneer PRV-LX1 (DVD video recorder); JVC SR-VS30U (SVHS/VHS/DV/DVCam); Sony GVD800 (Digital8; or the Panasonic AJ-SD255(DVCPro25/DV/DVCam) as source decks for PPro? I’m looking for 1394 controlled source decks for aforementioned formats. Recommendations?? Editing platform is a Dell380. Neither AJA or BlackMagic Designs cards are supported in my configuration; any other choices for input cards that support RS232 or RS422 if I can’t find 1394 input solutions?
