    Quick Question

Has anyone found the radial blur effect generates bands of noise or grain when it’s set to a really high blur amount? Setting to High Anti-Aliasing doesn’t seem to fix it either.

I’m sorry, I don’t have a solution for your problem. It’s more like I’m experiencing something similar.

Sometimes when I animate a solid (let’s say pale gray) and turn on motion blur and DOF I get noise over the solid which is even recognizable for the color picker. It has something to do with blurring the layer…which is also your problem…

Try the CC’s (radial and radial fast) they do a lot better.
the other thing “banding” is caused by colordepth.
in some ranges of color, one step out of 255 is huge
to prevent it, work in bigger colordepth (16 bit)

    Thanks Guys,

The CC filters fixed my problem, but it’s good to know about the colour depth thing.

    Cheers,
