Hello, I’m looking for an audio filter that will keep the audio at a certain level, like 6db. I want the filter to make it so the audio cannot go over 0db. I’ve tried some filters, but they’re a bit confusing to use.

Hmm 6db is over 0db. FCP is not a finishing audio device, simply a crude offline device for audio.

Most importantly audio finishing requires operator skill and experience as well as the right tools. Just like there isn’t a magic plugin that edits, there aren’t filters that mix audio properly.

Sorry, I meant -6b. It’s been a long day at the office here.

Anyway, I figured it out. Modify-Audio-Apply Normalization Gain does just what I need, and right in FCP too.
