    Hi all. I’m in big trouble with Compressor. I’m trying to export a movie in MPEG2.

    I’m using high resolution settings but my videos have an high level of compression, border of sharp objects appear with a lot of aliasing and on dissolve the video flicker.

    Someone Can help me?

    I post here my settings:
    Mpeg2 1920*1080 29.97fps progressive
    Teo pass VBR , Best
    Average Bit Rate: 30 Mbps
    Maximum Bit Rate: 40 Mbps

    1920*1080 (HDTV 11080i 16:9)30fps “no compression” progressive

    Compressor 3.5
    Settings:
    Mpeg2 1920*1080 29.97fps progressive
    Teo pass VBR , Best
    Average Bit Rate: 30 Mbps
    Maximum Bit Rate: 40 Mbps

    Destination use: playing on PC.

    that makes no sense:

    Is it interlaced or progressive?

    This is likely where all your problems lie. Is your source interlaced and then you are exporting from FCP as progressive, or what?

    No, it’s all progressive. As i writed over. It’s from a 3d and all progressive.
