No such thing….
DVCPro 50 is an SD codec if you encoded HD into that codec’s space you screwed it all up to start
its either DVCPro50 in SD or HD as DVCProHD – if not, there is no telling what has happened.

after tons of research here is the workaround and free!
please spread this as much as possible , I have been tearing my hair out for ages with washed out video.
I just tried this 10 mins ago and yeess
