No VU meter on capture
We have duplicate edit systems on a network sports show capturing video from a live sports production truck. Both are intel machines with KONA 3 running FCP studio 2. On one of the systems, we are not seeing the VU meters for audio in the capture mode (makes no difference if preview is selected or not on clip settings.) The audio is there when you capture & you can hear it through the speakers, you just do not get a visual confirmation. This was working for the past 4 weeks and started acting up this weekend. We also are backing up the capture to a D5 machine in case there is a problem but the D5 is only setup for 4 channels in & we capture 8 channels for discreet audio channels plus stereo program & international mix. We are capturing 720p 59.94 pro-res.
We have trashed preferences and re-loaded KONA software. Is there a button or setting I am missing?
This is a quick turn around show. We finish taping at 10-11pm on Saturday night and have to cut down a 3 hour show into 2 44 minute shows and uplink to the network at 5am Sunday morning. Would be a disaster if we had to re-capture the footage from tape.
Thanks for the help
