  • No video output on my Plasma using Intensity Card

I have a new apple Quad-Core Intel Xeon Mac Pro running the latest FCP with a BM Intensity card. I have a 42″ plasma that I want to use to view my work. I don’t know why but I can’t get a signal out of the BM card to my montior. I’ve updated the firmware and still see nothing. I’ve checked the HDMI connects a million times and yes made sure I was using the outport. Also made sure FCP was pushing out the signal. Any clues?

    It’s possible that:

    1) Cable is defective, too long or of bad quality.

    2) Potential defective Intensity Pro card. (you’ll need to swap it out)

Have you tried another HDMI cable or the current HDMI cable with another device like the output of a camera or something?

If you use Media Express to play something out? Do you get anything?

View > External Video in Final Cut Pro set to “All Frames”?

I’ve looked at all of that, not excluding a defective card.
We bought two cards for different machines, I’ll have to swap them out and go from there. Thanks for the response.
