When I import a .mov video into Premiere CS6 I only get the audio, no video whatsoever. Weird thing is, these are videos straight from After Effects. Anyone know how to fix this?

Care to add a bit more details about the file asides from the container? Codec, etc.

Also what troubleshooting steps have you gone through thus far?

As Michael says, it will be helpful to know which container/codec you have exported to from After Effects.

If you’re not sure, Media Info is a great tool to see the file type:

Alright, just to make it easier I switched to Vegas 12 rather than use Premere. It works fine there.

    Troy,
Glad you were able to solve your issue. Would be nice to find out details, though. Can you upload a sample file so I can take a look at it?

    Thanks,
    Kevin

    Hi
I come across this topic that I am currently having an issue with.
I have downloaded Premiere Pro CC due to the fact that I absolutely hate the New FCP and thought I would try out the trial version (mac).
I installed it and loaded clips into my project, but double clicking a clip to load it into the monitor to set in and out points does not load any visual clip. It just stays the default grey’d monitor, but the audio plays fine. I drag it to the timeline, the video and audio show on the timeline but are grey’d out as well, although, again, the audio plays fine. I looked around in the setting for a ‘switch’ or something I could change, but have not stumbled across anything. I’m not finding anyone else with this problem and it baffles me that I am the only one, well except for the guy that posted this issue who has switched editing platforms.
    Any help would be appreciated.
Stats: Mac OS 10.9.3, 2.2 Ghz Intel Core i7, 8 GB memory, 1333 Mhz DDR3

    Clips: QuickTime movie 1920 x 1080

    Thank you
