    Suddenly, when I export from PProCS3 to an uncompressed AVI (as I’ve done countless times), I get a codec problem. Windows Media Player pauses, then I get a ‘Codec Acquired’ message, but only audio plays. I’ve taken the video to 3 other machines to see if it will play on them, but the same occurs.

    Have you used a utility like GSpot to confirm that the AVI is uncompressed?

    Are you using the “Uncompressed Microsoft AVI” setting ?

    That’s actually an Adobe format and will only works across Adobe products, not in WMP.

    In your export settings, set the General tab to Microsoft AVI, then on the video tab, set compressor: none

    Believe, I dealt with that a few times before I figured it out 🙂

    If you still have some good hair, I’ll pay good money for it…
