  No video display in Prem Pro 2014

  Oh why did I do it?!? Why did I upgrade to Premiere Pro CC 2014?
  No video in my playback windows!
  This happened before that time I tried re-installing Mavericks – just a clean install. This did not work so a
  I reformat of the HD then Mavericks 10.9.1 followed by upgrade to 10.9.4.
  After which re-install Adobe CC + Prem & other CC apps. For a while this worked. Video played in my Premiere Pro CC 2014 windows!
  Today it’s hit me again. I am reasonably convinced it’s a Quicktime issue; something to do with the way Premiere Pro CC 2014 ‘calls’ QT from the OS. I can play the same clips OK in Bridge and in After Effects + the play in stand-alone QT player JUST NOT Premiere Pro CC 2014.
  I can see the video in AE (not 2014 – haven’t upgrade that yet!)
  and in Bridge (not 2014 – haven’t upgrade that yet! either!!)
  Has anyone else come across this?
  Mac Pro early 2009. 2 x 2.26 Quad-Core Intel Xeon – 32 gb RAM.
