No Vegas Pro GPU preview after system rebuild
Hi fellow Vegas enthusiasts,
My motherboard recently died and I had to replace it. I was using an ASUS server class board but they ending up giving me a Gigabyte game board due to my numerous drives and peripheral add ons. I was running Windows 7-64 bit, but due to the age of my system (8 years), I had to go to Windows 10 Pro, also 64 bit as they couldn’t do boot off my C: drive, effectively resulting in a fresh O/S install. That meant reinstalling VP12 and VP13.
This is where it gets interesting. With GPU acceleration enabled I see a black preview only on both the timeline monitor and an external monitor. It does this for multicam as well an non-multicam projects. If I turn it off and restart Vegas, the previews return.
As far as I can can tell, I am on the latest NVidia GTX570 drivers. I am deducing this is a Vegas-Windows 10 problem as I had no problems previewing with NVidia GPU acceleration in Vegas under Windows 7.
However, I could be wrong and there could be a tweak out there. Any suggestions?
