  • No Timecode During SDI Capture?

    Hey Guys,

Not really a dedicated Aja i/o question, but since it’s involved, I thought I’d let it rip:

Just hooked up a DigiBeta deck via SDI to my Aja i/o. Running into the G5 and FCP with Firewire 800. The footage captures fine (both audio and video), but it has no timecode! Rather, each new clip that I capture is zero’ed out, rather than having the original tape’s timecode embedded in it. Any idea what might be causing this (the deck, the Aja, or FCP?) I fiddled with the deck’s TC Regen switch but neither setting seems to do anything.

    Thanks in advance!

Its an fcp problem. Use VTR exchange (free from aja) to capture embedded LTC timecode.
