I just uploaded 7 individual clips from my video camera into Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9 Platinum, but all 7 clips were lumped into one big file. I thought it was supposed to separate out each clip (at points where I stopped and started the camera)and show a thumbnail of each clip so I could drag and drop what I needed to the timeline. Any thoughts?

I assume this is SD. In the Preferences drop down menu IN THE VIDCAP program there is a check box for making each scene its separate capture. Also the clock in your camnera must have been set for this to work as it uses diferences in time of capture to make note of when the scene changes.

Yes, it is in SD. Yes, the camera’s time is set. I can’t find the menu option you are talking about that allows each scene to be a separate capture. Is it in the Preferences menu somewhere? Thanks.
