No stereo on playback
I’m running into a weird one. I have been using Audition since the early Cool Edit Pro days and never had any problem like this.
I am creating midis in Finale, importing those midis into Reason, adding patches and such, recording them in Reason and then exporting them as wav files. I then insert the wav files into the multitrack session in Audition. I’ve done this for years with no issue.
Recently (and suddenly), playback in multitrack does not play stereo effects. I can pan everything to the left and it shows me that on the waveform monitor, but playback still plays the signal on left and right ear. Even more strange is if I pan all the way left, the volume decreases- increasing as i pan center and then decreasing again as i pan right.
If I pan everything to the right or left and mix down the session and save as a wav, i can open it with media player and the stereo effects will be present. I can’t figure it out.
I’m using Audition CC2015 with windows 10. I am using a built in conexent sound card.
Has anyone else come across this problem? Any suggestions for resolution?
