No sound while editing
I’m trying to edit a music video in after effects, but I can’t hear the song while playing back the video. I know there must be something simple I’m missing. I’m using AE 6.5 btw.

How are you playing back the video?
Space bar is a regular preview, and doesn’t play audio.
Zero on the keypad is RAM preview, and will play audio.
Period on the keypad is audio-only preview.
You can change the playback options in the Time Controls palette. You may want to check those settings if you’re still having trouble.

Except is there an option to always playback audio during regular playback?

No. Have to RAM preview or Audio preview to get audio.
