So I’m trying to move from Sony Vegas to Resolve and the first project I’ve created is using AVCHD .MTS files from a Canon Vixia HFS20. I import the video and it runs smoothly on my timeline. The problem is there is no audio attached. Does anybody know what I’m doing wrong? Thanks.

MTS files are bad voodoo. I would convert them to something easier for a post workflow, like ProRes (for Macs) or DNxHD (for Windows). In theory, the sound should come over with the files.

Thanks, Marc. An added step in my workflow for a format that’s been around for 8 years is a little surprising and frankly disappointing. I’ve used Final Cut and Premiere importing MTS directly. Nothing is perfect, and it turns out that resolve is the perfect Sony Vegas Pro replacement I thought it might be.
