No sound on importng into vegas
When i import from my JVC everio camera directly into vegas, and drop it into the video timeline, there is no accompanying sound track.
All i see is the visual movie track.I am using a direct connection from the camera to my pc USB port.

The original Movie Studio does not support HD. Are you using Movie Studio Platinum? or the newer Movie Studio HD? If not, that could be your problem.
Also the latest Movie Studio is at 9.0b so you might want to upgrade from 9.0a to ‘b’ and see if that fixes the problem.
I believe that camera shoots AVCHD so it should work with the latest 9.0b version of Movie Studio Platinum or Movie Studio HD. Have you installed any “codec paks” or any other software that might interfere with Movie Studio? That’s the only thing I can think of, unless there is something different about JVC’s implementation of AVCHD that Movie Studio can’t handle. In which case you should open a problem ticket with Sony support to let them know about it.
