No Sound On Capture
AJA tech support and I worked hard to diagonse some video capture problems I was experiencing. Final determination – bad card. I have replaced the LHe card in my QuadCore and the video captures fine. The problem is I don’t get incoming audio on the captured material. Audio is definitely coming from the deck – verified by CRT monitor I have for confidence playback. The wiring from the Sony UVW-1800 BetaSp to the AJA breakout cables is exactly the same as it was before replacing the capture card. I have been through Easy Set up a few times and checked my audio ins and outs.
Any thoughts or suggestions on what else to check? -

What version of FCP are you using?
The reason I ask is that when we upgraded fro 5.1 to 5.1.2 (we have an AJA Io, so it’s a bit different then you’re) I had machine controll, but no audio or video.
I called AJA and tey had me downgrad the frimware for the IO and that seemed to do the trick.Steve Cohen

I am running FCP 5.0.4. Thanks for the insight. I’ll call AJA and see what new ideas they have.
