    Hello everyone,

I have edited a video in Premiere Pro and then imported the Premiere project file into After Effects to add some special effects. My video plays fine in AE, but I can’t get the audio to play.

All audio options are checked on. I used RAM preview and that didn’t work, and using the “.” and “0” keys worked once for audio, but not again.

My clips are in uncompressed AVI and my audio is WAV – both work fine together in Premiere Pro, but I have read in the Adobe forums that projects with AVI footage won’t play audio as well. I opened some MPG, WMV and MOV files with audio and they played the audio and video together just fine in RAM preview. Is there a way to get AE to play AVI video and WAV audio together? Do I need to use a different audio format?

Thanks so much for any help,
    007

Having the same problem. RAM Preview won’t play audio. When I export it, it plays, just not in AE CS3

    Figure out what was wrong?

Look at Ram Preview Window and make sure that the speaker icon is not disabled

I absolutely HATE this forum setup. Please change it.

I’m having the same problem. Volume bars are moving, audio track is in the time line, and the speakers are on. In all likely hood, I’ll solve it before I find this post again, but I just wanted to voice my opinion about the horrible forum setup. Most everything I search for doesn’t have many replies. I think it’s the setup.

Go find your favorite PHP Bulletin Board or Phorums site and make it your home.

We have no plans to change our set-up. Ever.
