No sound during Multi-clip editing
Posted by Richard Hazeldine on June 8, 2009 at 7:38 pmHullo,
I have recently filmed a theatre show with 2 cameras. I have followed the guide to setup multi camera editing, however when I’m playing both sets of footage in the multi-clip editor I hear no sound.
Very frustrating.
Is there something I’m missing?
Please help.

June 9, 2009 at 6:51 amHi,
The audio track your clip is placed on needs to be selected by clicking on that track to the left of the timeline. Once it is selected open the multi cam viewer winndow and it should work.
Good luck,

June 14, 2011 at 2:34 amHey all, this is driving me crazzzzzzy.
I have CS5. I have my Video and my audio track selected, and I hear audio when I play from the timeline, as soon as I enable Multi-camera editing, the audio disappears! My Audio is set to track one (The only one with audio since this is a nested sequence)
Any other suggestions, besides what’s above.
Thanks all!

June 14, 2011 at 11:07 amHow about as a work around you copy the audio from the multicam sequence and paste it in sync under the multicam enabled nest.
Not sure why it’s behaving this way, but at least you can get back to work. 🙂
BTW, a two cam I tend to edit this way anyway, so I can see audio waveform “cues” for making edits.

June 15, 2011 at 2:02 amThank you for the workaround!
Well, I finally ended up figuring something out….
So I ended up clicking on the Panel options for the Multi Camera Monitor and seeing the “Audio Follows Video” option, so I checked it, and now I get audio for each item I click on the left side (Which I then unclick the “Audio Follows Video” Option once I find the audio I want to use) NOW my question is, is there a way to directly select the camera’s audio I want to use? (The Video 1/Audio 1 dropdowns near the bottom of the Multicamera Monitor are for the Sequence I’m in, NOT the nested sequence)
Thanks all!

January 20, 2022 at 4:20 pmThis is so frustrating that this problem is still a thing. So I made a multicam seq, place it on a timeline and audio track has no
waveforms. Frustratingly, I can sync the multicam seq USING AUDIO SYNC
with clips originally in multicam sequence. I’ve scoured the interwebs,
the youtubes, forums, you name it. Still haven’t found my answer, and
here we are. I guess I’ll resync the audio once more as a workaround, but if anybody finds an answer please be good soul
