  • No solo on audio bus tracks….

I use Vegas for mixing my audio in my studio. My last version before 11 was 8.0c. I’ve noticed that the GUI has changed in that you can no longer create a new audio bus in the master section…you have to pull up the mixer window in order to add a bus. I don’t really like this change since I use buses a lot but I can live with it.

The big thing I noticed today when mixing a song was the fact that I can not solo the bus like I used to. I click on the solo icon and nothing happens. I have to solo the individual tracks.

In other words, say I have three harmony vocal tracks…I bus those three tracks to one bus and add a separate reverb to the bus track. I like to solo the bus so I can hear the reverb on those tracks by themselves. NO CAN DO…the solo button does not work on the bus tracks, hence I have to solo all three separate harmony vocal tracks.

I am able to solo any bus track in version 8.0 but not in 11. Sony needs to be made aware of this.

Well now this is strange. I just tried it here on my laptop and the solo buttons work on the bus tracks. But they didn’t today on my workstation in my studio. Will have to do more experimenting tomorrow.
