No reel name found, no fcp translation report – Roundtrip
Hi.. A month ago, I had to do a video with 5d3 mlv (magic lantern video) extracted through raw2cdng 1.6.3 tool. The procedure is premiere-resolve roundtrip. Roundtrip was successful. Every effects and cuts was maintained. Client was happy.
Recently, I extracted new mlv files from 5d3, to cdngs. I imported those files to resolve after setting “master project settings” “assist reel name..” etc.,. I exported dnxhd 36 for proxy (as usual) and in premiere I did offline editing and exported the finalcutpro XML for resolve roundtrip. This time I did not get the “FCP translation result..” log file notepad along with the xml (unlike in previous project). When i imported the XML to resolve 11, it could not link the timeline to media pool. Also nothing is seen under “reel name” section in resolve. Roundtrip failed and i had to manually link files.
Am i doing something wrong? Why is the “fcp translation results” report file not created? Why can’t I see the reel names for my files? Thanks
