I imported files from my firestore, shot with a Panasonic HVX 200 in 720p25. When I play it out in FCP 5.1.4, I get the picture only on my SD video monitor when I stop. Not while playing. I want to see the movements on my video monitor becaus of the progressive mode

What Easy Setup are you using? I believe you need to manually create this setup using the 720p/60 Setup as your guide.

Walter, thanks for the fast response. I tried several set ups, with different video playback modes in FCP. My Kona control panel has the buffer set to 720p50 and my current play back mode in FCP is AJA Kona 720p60. Already tried 720p50DVCPro HD and 720p25DVC 8bits Varicam and many others….

[Itamar Kool] “My Kona control panel has the buffer set to 720p50 and my current play back mode in FCP is AJA Kona 720p60”

your video out needs to be 720p50 for 25p workflows

did you try the Kona PAL 8bit to DVCPro50 easy set up- ti works for me.

I just tried. Didn’t work here. But I heard that this problem has been solved in FCS 2 which is in my new Intel Mac that I am going to use this week… So I hope that alle will be good soon…..

    Hi.

Did you make sure your playback settings were set to “all frames”?

Yes, I did. Just installed my new 8 core which has FCS 2 installed and now my video monitor does play real time. Must be something thay fixed with FCP 6 or AJA. Thanks for the responses

“AJA Kona 720p25 8 Bit DVCProHD (1280 x 720)” is the correct setting in FCP 5.1.x

In FCP 6 you can use the normal 720p50 output option.
