No Quicktime Render
Posted by Tony Manolikakis on December 29, 2010 at 5:53 pmFor some reason I don’t have an option to export to Quicktime when I select render in Resolve. I do have FCP Studio installed on the same system. Not sure if I am missing something.
System:
2010 Mac Pro
BlackMagic Extreme 3D
GT120
GTX285

December 30, 2010 at 1:40 amOn the Render widget, in the Output Type drop down menu, you should have several types of QuickTime formats to choose. Do you not see any QuickTime formats listed? If not, what do you have listed?

December 30, 2010 at 5:56 pmNo Quicktime showing up at all. I see various forms of DPX, TIFF and OPEN EXR. That’s it.
Thanks.

December 31, 2010 at 12:55 amVery baffling.
Could you please run the CaptureLogs app, and send the file it produces to davincihelp@blackmagic-design.com. You can find the app here:
/Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/Davinci Resolve
It’s called CaptureLogs.app
When you run it, it will create a .tgz file on your desktop. Send us that.
Before you run the CaptureLogs app, make sure you have loaded your project and opened the Render widget and selected the Output Type dropdown menu.Could you also export the project, and send that to the same address?
And also send us your Mac system profile file, in XML format.
Hopefully that will give us enough info to see what’s wrong.
