I had been running drivers version 5.1.x of some flavour due to knowing they worked and needing the systems running for projects that were happening.

I installed 5.5 last week after removing the old drivers, as you have to.

After Effects works fine, but Premiere has no Blackmagic settings anymore, and if I open a project that was created with Decklink cards, it tells me it needs rendering, and I get no output at all from the Decklink as I work. Premiere simply seems to be unaware that the card even exists.

I kind of need this working again asap. Otherwise I’ve got to go back to old versions of drivers. I’ve just downloaded 5.5.1 and so may have to try that.

The card in my machine is a Decklink Pro.

Strangely, I put the same drivers (5.5) ino a brand new machine we built last week which has a Decklink Extreme in, and Premiere is fine with that.

    Any clues?

    Hi,

It sounds like a bad install. If After Effect works with the card, then perhaps the settings for Premiere was not installed properly and that’s why it can’t see the card. Have you tried right clicking on the installer MSI file and then select “Repair”?

Alternatively, uninstall v5.5 and install v5.5.1 and let me know how it goes.

    regards

Thanks, will try that either later today or tomorrow, once clients have been and gone.

    Hi again,

Fianlly got a chance to try this out.
Did the repair idea on 5.5, and that did not work.
Uninstalled and then put on 5.5.1 and this also does not work in Premiere 1.5.

Is there some kind of log file or system check file I can give you to see why it might not be instlling properly?

    Thanks,
    Dominic
