    Hello,

I am using Sony Vegas Pro 9.0 (64-bit) on Windows 7 Ultimate, and I am trying to use the ‘Pitch Shift’ plug-in

I select my Audio layer, press the ‘Track FX’ button and try to add in the ‘Pitch Shift’

However, for that, and ALL other Plug-ins, I get an error saying the following:

“The Plug-in could not be run. One or more components required to run this plug-in may be missing.

If a hardware key (dongle) is required to operate this plug-in, ensure that it is properly installed.

The COM object failed to initialize.”

When I click the ‘Details’ button the text says:

“The Plug-in ‘Pitch Shift’ failed to load. Please make sure the plug-in is properly installed.”

Some plugs don’t work in 64bit. Try the 32bit version. Open the file in Forge and save a copy of the audio.
You know you can pitch shift in Vegas without a plugin, right?

How do I pitch shift without using the Plug-in?

“=” key to shift up and and “-” key to shift down. Hold the Shift key to pitch shift octaves.

I selected the clip and pressed the ‘-‘ key and nothing. I tried the ‘=’ key and same thing, I also tried holding Shift for both of them and the audio remained the same for the clips.

Did you specifically select the audio clip and not the video clip? You must have the audio clip (and audio track) highlighted for this to work.

Yaa, I have just the audio clip and not the video. I also tried adding a new audio track so that only the clip I want to alter pitch has it’s on track and it still won’t work
